NASA’s New Launch Vehicle Announced
Today NASA announced its new design for its future deep space exploration program which was proposed by the Obama administration when the Constellation program was canceled/replaced last year. More info on this design and some basic performance figures are given here.
RPI SEDS Welcomes New Students
Tonight we saw a great outpouring of interest in RPI-SEDS. Seven returning members welcomed eighteen interested individuals. It was great to see this much excitement for the development of space!
RPI-SEDS Begins First Project: High Atmosphere Weather Balloon
RPI-SEDS members have begun designing a high-altitude balloon to record atmospheric data and capture video of the Earth and the blackness of space.

First Officers Elected to Serve 2010-2011 Term
Congratulations to our newly elected officers! RPI-SEDS has elected Alan Carey ’13 to serve as Director of Public Outreach, Emily DeLarme ’14 as Technology Officer, Brian Jennings ’12 as National Chapter Representative, and Mackenzie Ott ’14 as Treasurer to serve the Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 semesters.
